Tacoma, Washington – Today, Democrat and Washington Commissioner of Public Lands Hilary Franz announced raising more than $415,000 in the first quarter of the year. Franz’s haul represents the highest-ever Q1 raise by a candidate in this district, and follows her raising the highest-ever Q4 total for a candidate in WA-06.
Franz’s record fundraising follows her endorsements from 25 Labor groups; 10 Washington state Tribes; the incumbent for this seat, Rep. Derek Kilmer; former WA-06 Congressman Norm Dicks; the National Organization for Women PAC; and a long list of organizations and in-district leaders. A full list of endorsements is available here.
“Thanks to strong support from residents, labor, and tribes across the 6th District, we are building incredible momentum,” Franz said. “Our two straight quarters of record fundraising will ensure that we’ll bring change to the other Washington to lower costs for families, safeguard abortion rights, and tackle the climate crisis.”
Having raised more than $820,000 against two Republican opponents, Franz is best positioned to hold this D+6 seat for Democrats in November.
